Fivewalls: 10 Ways To Decorate A Small Condo

Tips & Advice

A tiny space may be all you need, whether you are living alone, or downsizing after living in a house for years.

There are tons of tips and tricks to decorate your new space and make it look exactly how you imagined, and make it look bigger than it really is. And remember to have fun with it! Decorating can be a fun experience to learn and try new things!

1. Small Appliances

Downsizing your appliances will help open-up your kitchen more. A smaller fridge and dishwasher will fit less, but you most likely will not have a ton of dishes to fill it anyway, especially if you live alone. You can create more counter space by putting things in baskets or hanging your mugs and utensils on hooks, which will also help if you do not have much cupboard space either. You will expand your counter space even more if you put your microwave at eye-level.

2. Barstools Instead Of A Table & Chairs

If you can get away with it, just have barstools and an extended counter as your eating area. It will save a lot of space, especially if your living room is joined. Most modern condos are being built to have this anyway.

3. Smaller Round Table

If you would like a dining room table and chair set, a small round table will fit in any tight space. Even if your dining area is separate but you still want more floor space for other furniture, a round table will make the room seem bigger.
